Adventure with our Partners

Great deals on truly incredible experiences!

There is plenty to do outside the lodge, here in the vast wilderness of Kananaskis country. We know that many of our guests can't travel with all the supplies they would need to take advantage of all the activities, so we've partnered up with some of our favourite businesses to offer fantastic deals on day trips, equipment, and a lifetime of memories. Do some research on your own, or ask us at the front desk and we'll be happy to help you book one.

DOG SLEDDING: Ever wonder how people got around in the winter before motors were invented? Well, now you can experience a dog sledding adventure for yourself - one that you will never forget! It's a pulse-pounding, fast-moving trek through the pristine wilderness of the Canadian Rockies just outside Canmore, near the Banff National Park and Kananaskis Country. A truly Canadian adventure! For more information, visit our partners at Snowy Owl Sled Dog Tours

FISHING: A popular pastime with people from all corners of the world, Canada's lakes are prime spots for prize fishing. And there are plenty of them in Kananaskis country! We have partnered with Wapiti Sports to bring you the ultimate fishing experience, where you will be provided with all necessary fishing gear, and winter attire (if needed). All trips are private and accompanied by experienced guides. Bow River fishing options are also available in the summer. Visit their website for more information.

HELICOPTER TOURS: This one is for all the wannabe action stars! Alpine Helicopter offers the most breathtaking tours in the heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountains, taking you high above the cliffs for a once-in-a-lifetime ride. There you will have an unparalleled and indescribable view of Banff National Park and the surrounding mountains and valleys. Remember to bring your camera! Visit the Alpine Helicopters website to learn more.

CROSS COUNTRY SKIING: An athletic pursuit for the young and old! Cross-country skiing is a great way to cover lots of ground while enjoying idyllic vistas and panoramic views. Luckily, there are plenty of trail options to choose from, of varying difficulty, if you are in Canmore and Kananaskis. For brand-new skiers, the Canmore Nordic Centre is an excellent resource for information and rentals. Learn more about the Canmore Nordic Centre at their website.

HIKING: Canmore and Kananaskis are a hiker's paradise, with hundreds of kilometres of hiking trails, ranging from valley bottom strolls to the crests of tumbling waterfalls. You can cross paths with shimmering glacier-fed lakes, remote alpine meadows peppered in wildflowers and exquisite Rocky Mountain formations with towering peaks. Our partner, On Top Mountaineering, will help you experience the mountains and make sure you're ready to tackle every step of every path you come across. Check out On Top Mountaineering at their website.

BIKING IN KANANASKIS: For some people, walking and running are just too slow! We've teamed up with our cycling partner, Rebound Cycle, which offers custom biking adventures, coaching, tours and instruction. Hop on one of their cruisers and you can cover many kilometres of trails before heading back to the lodge for a home-cooked meal. Find out more at Rebound Cycle's website.

SNOWSHOEING: If you're from a country that does not receive a lot of snow, chances are you may have never seen these oversized flat shoes, which allow the wearer to walk across the top of deep snowdrifts without falling in. They're a must for any dedicated hiker!  Snowshoeing is one of the best ways to explore our backyard, and also one of the most cost-effective: we have adult snowshoes on site, available for rent at a cost of just $12 per day (free for overnight guests).

Our favorite was the high tea charcuterie board!

“The good: everything! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The room and king-size bed were clean and comfortable. The four meals we enjoyed, included in the price of our room, were phenomenal. Our favorite was the high tea charcuterie board. 5-star dining for sure. The bad: nothing really... unless you consider being somewhat secluded, in ridiculously beautiful nature, bad.”
