Film Crew Accommodation

Ready for a close-up with nature?

Southern Alberta is well-known for its natural beauty and epic landscapes, and nowhere is this more apparent than the valleys, forests, and slopes of the Rocky Mountains. That's why many film crews come from around the world to shoot indie productions and blockbusters alike, right here in our backyard.

Our lodge, nestled at the base of the mountains in the heart of Kananaskis country, is a perfect base from which crews can work: within a short drive there are glimmering lakes, soaring peaks, rolling fields, alpine forests, and everything in between. We have hosted numerous production teams over the years, helping them feel at home while away from home; notable guests include crew members from The Revenant like Leonardo DiCaprio, as well as Ang Lee and Heath Ledger from Brokeback Mountain. Many people from big-budget films like Inception and the upcoming War for the Planet of the Apes have also seen the incredible potential of the landscape that surrounds Mount Engadine Lodge.

Are you part of a film crew that's working in the area? Contact us to find out more about our on-set accommodations and how we can help you make the most of your time in Alberta. We look forward to welcoming you to the roster of stars that have stayed with us!

Our lodge accommodates 19 to 23 adults depending on room assignments; the all-inclusive cost for the lodge for 19 adults is $4595 per night. Prices include daily breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.

We even saw a moose!

“We stayed here for two nights; the first was in the yurt and the second in the lodge itself. Every aspect of our stay was enjoyable; excellent and knowledgeable staff who were a joy to be around, fabulous restaurant quality food and the most amazing location. We even saw a moose! The rooms were wonderfully comfortable and there is even a sauna! The yurt was sweet too…better for children or hardened campers. I would certainly come here again. Every room has a wonderful mountain view.”
