Springtime offers the opportunity for abundant hiking, trail running, mountain biking and exploring. Spring brings new life to the Spray Valley, so be prepared to experience our world as it comes alive with color and life.  Bring your camera for the chance to take some shots of an encounter with some of the local wildlife; If you’re lucky, you may even be the first to meet some of Spray Valley’s newest (and cutest!) baby wildlife residents. Keep your eyes peeled for one of the many varieties of wildflowers that appear during spring in the Spray Valley, you’ll never know where they’ll pop up!

In the Summer, get ready for canoeing, whether you prefer to be paddling or comfortably watching from shore. Hiking or cycling the terrain will offer you new ways to explore the backcountry of the Spray Valley Rockies. Challenge yourself by climbing one of our local mountain peaks, or discover your new happy place at one of our local serene lakes or ponds.  If you prefer adventures that are slightly less rugged, you can take a short drive to one of the nearby golf courses and tee off at one of the most beautiful golf courses in Alberta. Our staff are always standing by, ready to help you tailor make a custom adventure to suit the needs of you and your group.

Fall at Mount Engadine is a life changing experience for many of our visitors.  Catch the Spray Valley in its beautiful transformation from green to yellow, as the larch trees put on their world renowned show.  Don’t forget your camera and hiking boots, as you’ll want to spend the days experiencing this phenomenon from one of the hiking trails nearby.  You might even want to climb up one of the nearby ridges or mountain peaks to get the bird’s eye view of this wonderful transformation.  Come back in time for afternoon tea, and tuck into a wide assortment of treats while you spend some quality time and laughter with family and friends in front of a crackling fire.

Pristine, mountain snowfall in Winter makes us ideal for snowshoeing and cross country skiing. Trails are threaded throughout the park, leading to beautiful nearby lakes such as Rummel and Chester. Hiking the terrain will take you through a wilderness that’s an eternity away from office life. Come together with family and friends, and experience the tranquility of ice fishing on local lakes. If adventure is what you crave, experience the thrill of connecting with your own dogsled team and sledding through the Spray Valley.

From the highest peak to our beautiful mountain meadows, Mount Engadine Lodge has the activity to suit your adventure needs, year round.

We even saw a moose!

“We stayed here for two nights; the first was in the yurt and the second in the lodge itself. Every aspect of our stay was enjoyable; excellent and knowledgeable staff who were a joy to be around, fabulous restaurant quality food and the most amazing location. We even saw a moose! The rooms were wonderfully comfortable and there is even a sauna! The yurt was sweet too…better for children or hardened campers. I would certainly come here again. Every room has a wonderful mountain view.”
