Wildlife Watching

Thanks to our remote location in the Spray Valley Provincial Park of Kananaskis, Mount Engadine Lodge and the meadow below it are frequently visited by amazing wildlife. If you’re lucky, you may get to see elk, moose, bears, and more! Sightings in the autumn are quite common, as animals like deer and bears are actively preparing for winter. Fall is also rutting season for elk. They can be more aggressive during this time, so if you see any elk, keep a safe distance! See our Wildlife Watching Guide for more information on the animals you may see.
