We had an amazing experience at the lodge. The food, staff (can’t say enough good things about all of them)  and location/experience were beyond our expectations. We stayed in the Glamping Tents which were a short walk from the lodge. The beds/bedding were extremely comfortable. Just be aware, sounds carry from tent to tent😊. I have stayed more than a few times and each time has been magical. The location is remote off a long gravel road but that is what makes it great. The food is always fantastic and the atmosphere relaxing. I chose to review today after having a different type of interaction with the lodge last night. My sons and their friends (in their teens) were a few hours overdue from a hike near to the lodge. I was 2 hours away from the trailhead so I phoned the lodge. Both Hailey and Ian were very kind and helpful. Staff went to check the trailhead for the kids car and we were offered the lodge as a base for wifi (no cell service) and snacks/warm drinks if we needed. Luckily the kids were located quickly - the fishing just too good and they lost track of time - and we didn't require the lodge but I will never not recommend a stay here. We just spent 2 nights at the lodge for my nephew's wedding and I can't say enough!
The drive to the lodge is absolutely breathtaking.  It is a long gravel road, and I imagine it could be tricky in poor weather, but on a sunny October day, we couldn't believe the beauty surrounding us.  We stopped 8 times (safely) to get pictures, and could have doubled that with more to capture.
The staff is very professional, helpful and friendly, while never being intrusive.  They were so accommodating!
The food, while a little "niche" for my family was delicious and the talent and artistry in the preparation was very apparent.  They also made my kiddos foods more to their tastes when they noticed they weren't in to what was being served.
We stayed in a glamping tent (Larch), and it was so cozy. It was a bit snug when the sofa was pulled out, but was still very comfortable.  It wasn't sound proof, but the lodge thoughtfully supplies earplugs in the room.  It gets pretty quiet outside at night anyway.  And the view from our porch was just beautiful.
If you're looking for a fancy hotel experience, this might not be the place for you.
If you're looking for the most perfect combination of rustic and luxury in the most stunning mountain surroundings, then I highly recommend Mount Engadine Lodge!

Our first mistake was not staying here and only having lunch !!!
It starts with an amazing drive up the Smith Dorian trail from Canmore, just a big dirt track with stunning views in itself.
We had booked afternoon tea and it was fantastic. The lodge was nice and quiet when we got there and we sat outside and just enjoyed the view and the peace.
Food was superb. Service was excellent. Beer was cold. You really couldn’t ask for more. Just wish we’d stayed the night !!!

What an exceptional experience to end our visit to the Rockies. We stayed in a one bedroom cabin (birdwood). The cabin itself is basic, but you don’t need anything else with the view you have from the room, stunning views of the mountains. The cooked breakfast and three course evening meal were both exceptional. It was so nice to meet other individuals over dinner and share stories. My wife and I stayed in the Birdwood cabin for two evenings and it was perfect. The views were incredible and the amenities in the cabin were very comfortable.
The service and food were world class. The staff took pride in their work and were a great team. The drinks were creative and tasty and the coffee was some of the best we’ve evrr had. It was an amazing place to stay and we highly recommend it.

Smith's stay
Excellent Lodge and a wonderful staff. From Breakfast - Bagged Lunch - Dinner was exceptional, the food was phenomenal. Favorite place in the Kananaskis
The Lodge is easily our favorite place in the Kananaskis. From easy check in, afternoon tea, charcuterie and apple pie, delicious 3 course dinners, beautiful patio with expansive views of local mountains and wildlife, nice lodge rooms, comfy bed, great shower, tasty breakfast made to order and delicious sandwiches to go - what more can you ask for. And now there's also sauna and communal fire pit. All the food and cocktails were delicious and staff was knowledgeable and friendly. We will be back.

A complete getaway...
Mt Engadine in Alberta's Kananaskis Country is a cozy, warm and happy home perched on the edge of a spectacular mountain meadow surrounded by gorgeous mountain peaks. Great food, breathtaking scenery and great trails for hiking.

I was here as a local doing a photography tour with my business Owl Eye Photography. It was a reccomendation to my client. The service and staff are unreal. We saw a moose with her baby in the morning.

I love the consistent lunch menu and breakfeast fixtures, as well tea time snacks.

We had a new breakfeast and dinner each day.

The chief Matt has to prepare for all staff and guests on a weekly basis, that takes alot of skill and planning.

Sauna is from 10-6. I understand the hours around food, it would be nice to have a evening sauna as its very hot in the day. I wonder if there is a system that could be made around that efficiency.

Kananaskis is a magical place and the staff and business do alot to make sure everyone is comfortable.

We had our heater not work after the first night, I reccomend double checking this so you can be warm. Even in summer you can freeze ! They were really helpful organizing a solution here.

This is my biggest reccomendation to clients coming for their Elopements, Weddings, Hiking.

We were positively thrilled to stay at Engadine Lodge June 28-30. The food was amazing, the staff were excellent and the scenery was incredible! We stayed in a 1 bedroom cabin (Burstall), which was super cozy. Our stay was only supposed to be one night, but due to excessive rain and snow run-off, highway 742 experienced several rock and mud slides, effectively leaving the roads impassable and the guests at Engadine stranded for an extra day and a half. The kindness, compassion and generosity of the manager (Rai) to guests and to the back country travelers and cyclists who arrived at the lodge with no place else to go was exceptional. Rai and the entire staff took care of everyone and kept the vibe of Engadine Lodge upbeat and safe. It was an amazing experience and a lovely place to be stranded. Fabulous foodie getaway
Secluded mountain getaway with amazing food - perfect for our 25 anniversary celebration. The afternoon charcuterie is epic. Our only “complaint” is not being able to finish all the delicious food. Wonderful hospitality from the staff who were very attentive to our needs
