The best dog-friendly place to stay! The best dog-friendly place to stay! We stayed in the glamping tent and it was so comfy and had everything we needed. The food was delicious and different every day! I love that there is a special area separate from the dining room where you can eat with your dog. We explored the beautiful Spray Lakes which is only a 10-15 min drive from the hotel.

A memorable stay on a special occasion. The stay exceeded our expectation. We were very impressed with the staff, their service attitude and pet friendliness, as it was very important to us. We liked the glamping tent, the meals and the beautiful setting. Given its boutique scale, remote location and matching facilities, the Lodge was well conceived and exquisitely executed. We would love to come back again.

Winter wonderland We love Mount Engadine Lodge so much! I recommend everyone to come here and see for yourself! We have been twice, both in the winter, and it never disappoints. They're so accommodating with our dogs and any food restrictions you might have-they can do it! The food is wonderful! The staff are really nice and engaging. We've stayed only in the glamping tents and they're awesome! So cozy! The only somewhat negative thing I would say is the bed is really soft and we prefer something slightly firmer but that's just us!

A Perfect Escape: Comfort, Adventure, and Exceptional Service From start to finish, this lodge truly has it all – from delicious meals to the coziest beds, outdoor adventures, and exceptional service. My sister and I spent two nights here. We stayed in the Commonwealth glamping tent, which was an unforgettable experience. It was warm, and the tent itself was so unique. The lodge offers a full range of dining options, including breakfast, packed lunches, afternoon tea (hello, charcuterie board!), and dinner (3 course meal) + dessert. Every meal was delicious, but my personal favorite was the choice between savoury or sweet for breakfast – a perfect touch to start the day. The lodge is welcoming and dog-friendly, making it an ideal spot for all kinds of guests. They also provide equipment for outdoor fun, including cross-country skis, snowshoes, and spikes. We took explored Chester Lake, and the scenery was simply breathtaking. All in all, we had an incredible time, and I would absolutely give this place a 10/10. I can't wait to return!

Gorgeous Location with Excellent Food & Service! We loved our cozy stay in the Burstall Cabin at Engadine. The cabin had everything we needed and was comfortable. The views are absolutely gorgeous, and you can hike right from the lodge, or you can drive to many other great hikes close by. The food was delicious, and they accommodated my pickiness (I do not like seafood, therefore they substituted chicken for me during one of the main dinners). We were constantly full of great food! Our dogs were treated like royalty (could eat with us by the fire, had water bowls offered for them at the same time as water was offered for us, had beds in the room for the dogs etc). They made our stay special, and everyone was extremely friendly. Thank you Engadine!

Extremely Dog Friendly Lodge in the most beautiful location Gorgeous lodge is such amazing location in Kananaskis! Staff were very friendly and offered great service. Traveled with my pup solo and it was the best experience I have had at any resort, hotel or lodge. The personal touches to welcome my dog were above and beyond. They offered a dog bed, bowls, waste bags and a welcome cookie in the room. All I needed to bring was the pups food. The room was cozy (stayed in a glamping tent) cute offering lots of room. The bed was very comfortable and the Rocky Mountain Soap company bath products were much appreciated. They even offered ear plugs in the room if you needed them. Remember you are in the backcountry and some nights you can hear some animals outside. The stay was amazing and I hope to visit again. Highly recommended!

My husband and I spent this weekend in the “Writers Studio” glamping tent. Wow were we impressed! Very spacious, immaculately clean and the king bed was amazingly soft and cozy. The cuisine was very tasty with beautiful presentation and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Most importantly for us was how pet friendly Mt. Engadine is - upon arrival our dogs also had comfortable beds, bowls and yummy Mut Hut Canmore speciality cookies - they were also very impressed ! We had a great adventure and highly recommend Mt Engadine! Thank you for a great experience.

A wonderful getaway in the perfect location! Staying in the glamping tents was an absolute dream, the beds were so cozy and it was amazing to look out in the middle of the night and see a sky full of stars. I stayed with my husband, and our 4 year old GSP pup, and it was the perfect little family getaway for a night whilst camping for 2 weeks around Banff National park prior to staying at Engadine. It was the perfect reset, the location was wonderful. We hiked Mount Smutwood (difficult hike but beautiful), and Tent Ridge (a bit easier, stunning as well!), and both trailheads were a quick drive from the lodge making the location wonderful. We also saw a large moose during dinner time in the meadow below, it was so exciting! We can't wait to return, highly recommend a stay here!

Best All Inclusive Mountain Stay Can't go wrong with this place, the service, food, comfort and location is top-notch! The food exceeded our expectations and the cocktails were great! The afternoon cheese board is one of the best I've ever had and each and every staff member was so polite, friendly and courteous. It was a wonderful experience and the pet-friendliness of the hotel was the cherry on top!

The perfect getaway! We stayed in one of the glamping tents in May with our pups and we had the best of time!! The views, food, and service was incredible. All meals are included which was amazing, and the food was SO GOOD. We did some hiking within 10 mins of the lodge and found amazing views. We’ll definitely be back!

Outstanding in every single way! The entire experience was amazing. It's so cozy, remote, and beautiful. The views of the mountains are stunning. The food was INCREDIBLE. We loved every single meal, it was perfection. The staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and went ouf of their way to make sure we were taken care of. We were welcomed every single meal with our dog, Nova. Who loved the whole place too! A fresh bowl of water awaiting her when we arrived at our table. This place is so dog friendly and we loved that so much, since she is part of our family.

Our stay exceeded my expectations. Stayed in a glamping tent in the winter and brought my pooch. They even had a welcome sign, dog bed, and bowls waiting for her in the room upon our arrival. Although it is a “tent”, it is very warm and has running water with full bathroom. The food is amazing. The staff are top notch and provide amazing service. Will 100% be coming back.

Mountain Engadine Lodge - The perfect mountain getaway! Booked 2-nights at Mount Engadine Lodge for a peaceful getaway in the mountains and had an incredible experience! The accommodations are pet-friendly which made our decision to book an easy one. We stayed in one of the "Glamping Tents" and they even prepared a welcome package for our pup! We started our days with breakfast and coffee in the Lodge, grabbed our packed lunches and spent our days adventuring outdoors. After our mountain adventures, we retired back to the Lodge for afternoon tea, followed by a quick nap and then back to the Lodge for dinner. The food was delicious! Staff were so friendly and accommodating and really do go out of their way to make sure you have a positive experience. We are already looking forward to going back again soon!

Traveling with your pup in winter comes with its struggles especially when ‘patio season’ isn’t in full swing! Mount Engadine Lodge not only had incredible meals but we were also able to dine with our pup in the lounge! The friendly staff and views just can’t be beat at this place! We stayed in the glamping tent and it was perfect for what we wanted! Will definitely be making a trip back!

We stayed 2 nights in a Glamping Tent. Daytime temperatures around -15, night time temperatures around -25. The tent was comfortable, warm, clean, rustic and provided amazing views right from your bed. The lodge and common areas feature wood burning fire places, cozy and comfortable seating. Relaxing here is so easy and its a great experience. There is wifi in the lodge if needed and no cell phone service or wifi anywhere else on the property or the areas nearby. Perfect for unplugging and relaxing! The staff are all very friendly, accommodating and very helpful and willing to point you in the direction of your next adventure. The staff show so much love for your furry friends, dog bed in the room with food/water bowls, a locally made dog cookie and a welcome sign. They always offered water to our dog during meals and were always happy to see her in the lodge The food here is incredible. Breakfast, lunch, charcuterie and dinner are some of the best meals I’ve had to date. We are sad to be leaving after a relaxing, unplugged experience. Mount Engadine will definitely be added into our rotation of mountain getaways.

Another fantastic Family Stay Engadine Lodge is a great place for families young and old. This was our third year there with our 20 year olds and this time with some friends as well. (And our dog) The food is excellent and the staff is outstanding - friendly, welcoming and helped make our stay so great. The Lodge is a great base for X-Country skiing in the Spray Valley and Peter Lougheed Park and afterwards we really enjoyed the afternoon tea - charcuterie board and sweets - and games/reading in the comfy lounge area. Engadine Lodge gets better every year and we’ll be back again in December 2024.

Recently stayed here and had a great time. They really like dogs here and even set up a welcome bed with bowls and a dog cookie upon arrival in the room. They even asked if our dog would be joining us for dinner (we didn’t opt in on that one so can’t say what that would have been like). This is the first time a “dog friendly” hotel truely felt dog friendly. The staff are all wonderful. The food is fantastic. The meals are all pre-set so keep that in mind if you are a picky eater. This place is worth the stay for a restful and quiet vacation without distractions. Bring a card game or board game if you come with a group if you need to be entertained (I saw they had a few games but not sure on the entire selection). We will definitely be back!

Great lodge, perfect location in the Rockies We stayed for two nights and the location is absolutely stunning, especially with the fresh snow on the ground! The staff is super friendly and helpful, they have a variety of rooms - something for everyone! The rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. A nice touch was the welcome sign and cookie for our dog Woodstock! The atmosphere is super relaxed with nice common areas; we especially enjoyed hanging out the living room or by one of the fireplaces. Did I mention the food? Absolutely fantastic! Breakfast, lunch (bagged), charcuterie board, and diner included and it is truly the icing on the cake. We'll be back!

A peaceful stay! We had such a great time at Mount Engadine. We went before it was too cold and enjoyed the glamping experience and it was so relaxing. We were able to unplug, enjoy amazing meals cooked by their in house chef and my dog was able to come as the whole place is pet friendly. It was very peaceful and the staff were pleasant. 10/10 would come here again!

People who worked there made sure we felt welcome all the time! Views are incredible everywhere you look! Another big thing we loved is they are pet friendly, our dog Milo had his little welcome sign in our tent and complimentary treat for him as well. Tent was clean and beautiful! The best dog-friendly getaway! This past June my partner & I (+ our dog) visited from Ontario & Mount Engadine was such a great place to stay. The rooms & lodge was so cozy, the location of the Lodge was incredible, the staff were so friendly and the food was delicious. We had the most relaxing stay! It was so nice to be nestled in the backcountry of Kananaskis, without needing to worry about food. It was the perfect way to celebrate our anniversary. It was also so great we didn't have to leave our dog behind! We can't wait for our next visit.

I stay at Mt. Engadine at least once or twice a year and could not recommend it enough. The staff are excellent, the food is great and the overall experience is spectacular. I love that our food is included in the price and that they offer pet-friendly rooms. An excellent place to stay whether it's winter or summer, and it feels good to know I am supporting locals as well.

A Swiss gem in Kananaskis This was our second visit and just as wonderful. The first was in the winter and super for cross-country skiing and the second a summer hiking trip. There are trails and options for all levels and the lovely meals and hospitality make it so pleasant. They even arrange meals to the room for children and it is a pet-friendly lodge.
